Pricing

About our prices

As a professional service provider, we're not aiming to be the cheapest. Cheap means cutting corners and compromising on quality and safety.

You will certainly find cheaper mowing quotes, if that's all you're after. But you wear the risk if your property is damaged; you might be left without service when the guy goes on holiday, retires or just stops turning up (it happens!); and you may struggle to get them to return your calls if you need anything.

We charge a fair rate that covers our time and experience, protects your property, and keeps your service consistent, visit after visit. Here's what's actually built into that price:

Time and expertise

A good operator isn't just pushing a mower or having a go with a chainsaw. They take the time to choose the right deck height for the season, have experience in reading how a lawn's grown since the last visit, and can judge how hard to cut back a hedge so it comes back fuller instead of leggy and bare. These are the calls that keep a garden healthy, not just tidy for a day.

Quality equipment, properly maintained

Sharp, well-set-up gear means a cleaner cut and a healthier lawn and garden: every cut is a small wound, and a clean cut heals a lot better than one hacked at with blunt blades. Our prices mean you don't need to worry about running and maintaining your own equipment - fuel, oil, servicing, wear and tear, and the eventual cost of replacing tools and mowers.

Insurance that actually covers you

Public liability up to $20 million, WorkCover for our employees, equipment insurance, and credit accounts with local suppliers – so if something breaks down mid-job, it doesn't become your problem or a stalled job.

Chemical licensing

Did you know it's illegal to spray chemicals – even a bottle of Roundup from Bunnings – on a property you don't own? Moreton Bay doesn't get the exemptions some Brisbane areas do. That means training, certification, and licence fees, so what goes on your garden is applied legally and correctly.

Environmental stewardship

Doing this properly means thinking past the day of the job. We manage what comes onto a property and what leaves it – soil, mulch, green waste, plants – in line with fire ant biosecurity rules that apply across most of Moreton Bay, not just the obvious spots. And when we do use chemicals, we're careful about run-off, so it stays where it's meant to and doesn't end up in the storm water or next door's veggie patch.

A central office that manages the schedule

We're not a sole trader too busy to take your call. Scheduling and service delivery are kept separate at Jackfruit. So when you call us, you'll get through to the office, and we've got backup operators too, so if someone's sick, your job is still covered.

Professional job management

Scheduled visits, email and text reminders, photos after every job, and easy communication if you need to shift a date.

At the end of the day, you're not just paying for a mow. You're paying for peace of mind, and you get a professional company that takes pride in caring for your garden, so your home stays a beautiful, safe, green oasis, season after season.
